Energy Surplus Management Pack – Smart Solution for Energy Savings
This pack has been designed to allow you to efficiently control your home or facility's electricity consumption, especially useful if you have a photovoltaic installation or need to manage consumption peaks and avoid outages due to exceeding contracted power. It consists of three elements that allow precise measurement and automation of two independent electrical lines.
What is this pack for?
With this kit, you can:
Avoid power outages due to excess power:
When the contracted power is exceeded, you can automate the temporary disconnection of non-priority devices, such as a water heater, for a few minutes, thus avoiding penalties or disconnections from the distributor.
Maximize the surplus from your solar installation:
One of the sensors bidirectionally measures the energy flowing between the electricity grid and your home. The second sensor is used to monitor the line from the photovoltaic inverter. This allows you to know when surpluses are available and automate loads such as air conditioning or the electric water heater to activate precisely when free energy is available.
What does this pack include?
-
Shelly EM 50A:
Professional two-channel energy meter, with class 1 accuracy. Measures up to 50 amps per channel. Integrated WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. Compatible with the included current clamps. -
2 Shelly Split Core Current Transformers 50A:
Open-core clamps that allow quick and safe installation without the need to cut cables. Each clamp measures up to 50A and offers a standard 0–50 mA output. One with a connector and one without a connector, as required by the Shelly EM. -
Shelly Plus Plug S:
Smart plug with a capacity of up to 16A. Measures the electrical consumption of the connected device, allows its remote control from the Shelly app, and can be programmed according to schedules or consumption thresholds.
Practical applications
In photovoltaic installations:
-
Measures your home's consumption in real-time (main line).
-
Measures inverter production (secondary line).
-
Automate devices to turn on when there are surpluses.
Example: activate the water heater or air conditioning only when more energy is generated than consumed.
To control contracted power:
-
Detects consumption peaks.
-
Turns off non-priority loads for brief intervals to avoid exceeding the contracted power.
Example: automatically disconnect the water heater for 10-15 minutes.
Llego muy rápido, todo perfecto, todavía no he podido instalarlo por falta de tiempo.
Satisfecho
