Energy Surplus Management Pack – Smart Solution for Energy Savings
This kit has been designed to allow you to efficiently control the electricity consumption of your home or building, especially useful if you have a photovoltaic system or need to manage peak consumption and avoid power outages due to exceeding your contracted power limit. It consists of three components that allow you to accurately measure and automate two independent electrical circuits.
What is this pack for?
With this set you can:
Avoid power outages due to excess power :
When the contracted power is exceeded, you can automate the temporary disconnection of non-priority devices, such as a water heater, for a few minutes, thus avoiding penalties or cuts by the distributor.
Make the most of the surplus energy from your solar installation :
One of the sensors measures the energy flowing between the electrical grid and your home in both directions. The second sensor monitors the line coming from the photovoltaic inverter. This allows you to know when surplus energy is available and automate appliances like your air conditioner or water heater to activate precisely when free energy is available.
What does this pack include?
-
Shelly EM 50A :
Professional dual-channel energy meter with Class 1 accuracy. Measures up to 50 amps per channel. Integrated WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. Compatible with the included transformer clamps. -
2 Shelly Split Core 50A Current Transformers :
Open-core clamps allow for quick and secure installation without cutting cables. Each clamp is rated up to 50A and provides a standard 0–50 mA output. One clamp is included with a connector, and the other without, as required by the Shelly EM. -
Shelly Plus Plug S :
Smart plug with a capacity of up to 16A. It measures the electrical consumption of the connected device, allows remote control from the Shelly app, and can be programmed according to schedules or consumption thresholds.
Practical applications
In photovoltaic installations :
-
Measure your home's consumption in real time (main line).
-
Measures the investor's production (secondary line).
-
Automate devices to turn them on when there are surpluses.
Example: turn on the water heater or air conditioner only when more energy is generated than consumed.
To control the contracted power :
-
Detects consumption peaks.
-
Turn off non-priority loads for short intervals to avoid exceeding the contracted power.
Example: automatically turn off the water heater for 10-15 minutes.
Llego muy rápido, todo perfecto, todavía no he podido instalarlo por falta de tiempo.
Satisfecho
