System Components

Shelly 1 Gen3: Advanced Power Control

The Shelly 1 Gen3 acts as the brain of the pack. Thanks to its ESP-Shelly-C38F processor with 8MB of memory, it guarantees immediate response and superior stability in critical environments. Its dry contact (potential-free) output allows for switching loads up to 16A, enabling the control of water pumps with complete electrical safety.

Shelly Plus Add-on: Data Interface

The Shelly Plus Add-on attaches directly to the main device to provide an isolated digital input. This component reads the signal from the level sensor and transmits it to the Shelly 1 Gen3, allowing the system to make intelligent decisions based on the actual liquid level without the need for complex wiring.

This high-tech sensor detects liquids without direct contact. As a capacitive sensor, it is installed on the outside of the container, preventing corrosion, chemical wear, and fluid contamination, thus drastically extending the lifespan of the entire system.

Compatibility and Technical Specifications

It is important to note that, to ensure optimal performance, the capacitive sensor must be installed in non-metallic containers (such as plastic, polyethylene, glass, or ceramic). The sensor can detect liquid through walls up to 12-20 mm thick. In metal tanks, the signal would be blocked, so this kit is specifically designed for tanks made of polymer or vitreous materials.

Automation and Remote Control

Using the Shelly Smart Control app, you can configure automatic scenes so your pump stops when the tank is full or activates when the level is low. The system is fully compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Home Assistant , allowing monitoring from anywhere in the world via Wi-Fi, without the need for additional hubs.
